Spend a day with The Saree Man from Jaipur (India), Himanshu Verma, a leading art and design curator from Jaipur. He will walk you through the popular and critically acclaimed exhibition ‘Saree/Statement’ at the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam. Verma is also exhibiting his work there. The afternoon at De Katoendrukkerij in Amersfoort you can immerse yourself in an Indian textile appreciation and draping styles of the Indian saree. The workshop attempts to make participants look at textiles and sarees in an entirely new perspective, and hopes to start a process of lifelong engagement with textiles in an intimate manner.
